Apparently all the promises made by political parties are open for discussion when the members say so. The once proud Democratic Party, the “Liberal” party of my youth has found a new life as the Democratic Socialist Party. Everyone is wondering “how could this happen” and while it is a fair question, the Socialists have been hanging around the fringes of the leftist oriented Democratic Party since the 1800’s.
When immigration became the norm, those born into Socialist societies, brought their politics to America and when given the option to join a party, went where their ideals would be met.
It is no surprise to me that the Socialists have made the Democrats a minor party.
After WWII, Americans were confronted with the Cold War and once the Russians, then the CCCP had the atomic bomb followed by the hydrogen bomb, the idea of “better red than dead” became common chatter among the leftists.
The fear of being disintegrated by atomic weapons was just another political idea fostered by the Socialists and Communists to bring numbers under their political tent. The idea of “negotiation” with the Communists was going to save the world, was the thought.
“We will bury you” was told to us by the USSR during the Cold War. Nikita Khrushchev, head of the CCCP made that statement at a reception for Poland in Moscow. Bud did he?
The Communists continually promoted the downfall of American culture by saying “the inconsistencies in the American political sphere would add to its downfall. They added warnings about “small doses of socialism” destroying America from within to create a more ominous narrative.
The American media, leftist from the start, always promoted fear of war and the necessity of compromise with the Soviet Union. While the Soviet Union is gone, Putin survives and the Socialists are thriving. American politics is now buzzing with the thought that the Democratic Socialists will win elections and take over the government and the country.
Again the media is doing its best to promote this as something expected. It constantly derides capitalism, the rich and the disparity of wealth as a reason to find a new path.
Alexandra Ocasio Cortes, also known as AOC, congressional representative from New York City’s District 5, once the poster child for the new left, is now being seen as too moderate for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and the Democratic Socialist Party (DSP). “She has dismissed the mass radicalization around policing and abolition as part of the supposed excesses of ‘Woke 1’, seeking to reduce the historic Black-led uprising of 2020 to an embarrassing political phase.”
The new found muscle of the DSA and its party the DSP have said, “Ironically, her first electoral victory came in the heat of ‘Woke 1’, where she trafficked in the language of abolition. Now that she feels that she no longer needs it, she condemns it.“ And added to that, “This is the action of an opportunist dilettante, devoid of any principles whatsoever, not a socialist.”
This noise will not abate. AOC has been overtaken by the lunatic fringe. It has drowned out anything AOC has said or will say as “Inconsequential.”
The far-left progressive socialist, Abdul El Sayed, from Michigan, who narrowly defeated his establishment-backed opponent Rep. Haley Stevens in Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, is now the darling of the Uber left and has become intoxicated by the applause he receives each time he makes a statement. His continual raising the stakes for what must be taken from us in order for the country to be better, makes his supporters wild.
All the leftist bloggers, the black TV hosts, the Joy Reid “wannabe” and better are acting like a cheer leading squad for Abdul.
With 2 1/2 months to go before the midterms, the left, the Socialist Communists, the once thought: “it can’t happen here, this is America” are on your TV screen daily. They are promoting “unaffordability” as a reason to “fundamentally change the way America thinks.”
That statement from Barack Obama, rings loud and clear. Our great experiment, the “it’s time” was and should be seen as our greatest mistake.
Many voters are worried that the DSA will take over the country while others see it as just another phase in our politics. Any election of pure Socialist and Communists is a portent for further numbers.
We are entering into a world where faith in a higher power will be directed to our politics and not to a creator. We have allowed our culture to become sullied with the vomitus of unworkable and dangerous political ideas.

While sounding crazy, there are people who cannot wait for that to happen, American citizens.
