I agree with the common statement that a moderate Republican is better than a liberal Democrat, but people have asked me about liberal Republicans, such as Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney and Maria Elvira Salazar, and even groups like The Log Cabin Republicans and the now disbanded Republicans for Choice.
Are liberal Republicans better than liberal Democrats? No, in fact, in some ways, the liberal Republicans are worse.
These people are nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They have constantly voted and fought for progressive causes, fought against conservative judges and tried to put pro-abortion, pro-amnesty and anti-Second Amendment planks in the Republican Party platform.
Liberals in the Republican Party are nothing new. In 1984, Lowell Weicker, the Progressive Republican from Connecticut was denied a room at the Republican National Convention, and I strongly believe that this should follow suit in the 2028 Republican National Convention. I am an arch Conservative Republican, and I’m proud of that. I feel strongly for my causes, and I don’t want them infiltrated or abolished by these left-wing Republicans. Buyer Beware!
For instance, let’s just consider Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar. She consistently supports amnesty for illegal immigrants, gun control. Additionally, she voted for the January 6th Committee, supports climate change measures and worst of all, she spoke for the World Health Organization, a straight up Communist organization.
Lisa Murkowski has consistently voted against President Trump’s appointments. She supports abortion – which is murder in the first – on demand and the LGBT agenda.
The Log Cabin Republicans aren’t much better. They have worked tirelessly to put planks in the Republican Party platform to support adding sexual orientation and gender identity in the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
It baffles my mind, why Progressives would join the Republican Party. Maybe they want to make it so we have a uni-party system or just start trouble. I truly believe that they should be shunned by Conservative Republicans.
I would vote for a progressive Republican over a Democrat, simply to keep a majority in the legislature. As I said, a RINO is better than a Democrat, but in many ways, a progressive Republican is worse than a progressive Democrat.
