People often discuss who is the worst president of all time in U.S. history? My answer is Jimmy Carter. He was a disaster of biblical proportions. It is unbelievable. Let’s start with the economy: We were inches away from going into a depression under Carter. We were in a double dip recession. We had double-digit unemployment, double-digit inflation, interest rates were through the roof, and the gas lines were as long as Bee Gees concert back then.
Additionally, we experienced an energy crisis that was unheard of.
On foreign policy, Jimmy Carter was just as bad. Let’s remember that the Iranian hostage crisis was an act of war, and Carter did absolutely nothing about it.
As if that was not enough, Carter also away the Panama Canal. Then Afghanistan, Nicaragua, South Yemen and Ethiopia turned communist.
And who could forget the Mariel Boat Lift?
Carter created the worthless Department of Education which has caused our public education system to become progressive and in some areas straight-up indoctrination camps.
While Barack Obama and Joe Biden – both awful presidents – had worse intentions than Carter, they didn’t run the country as disastrously as Carter factually did. Not too far off, though, as their economic policies weren’t nearly as bad but still bad.
This causes Jimmy Carter, in my perspective, to take 1 Place as The Worst American President ever.
As for Carter’s post-presidency, he spent a quarter of a century supporting Hamas and was committed to the destruction of Israel; that is sick and evil.
Let’s face it; the Carter Presidency was a disaster for America, as were Biden, Obama, Lyndon B. Johnson, and other contenders for the Worst President.
