Allowing stupid people with very bad habits is one thing; to have lying deviants promote high values is another. Worse are those who fully understand both, choosing the latter for electability. We are a nation more slavish than independent, willing to submit to our inadequacies rather than endure the discipline of mind or body. We are callow and puerile with adults more immature than polished. We endorse raw language, threats, and poor speech as part of the social landscape “because everybody is doing it.”
The left sees Hakeem Jeffries as a leader because the party loyalists are just like he is, only less polished and educated. Graham Platner is just another rough, socially ignorant loser, who has found a niche in the public’s idea of what is acceptable and has filled it. Once he gets others to support him, he now becomes a poster boy for “what’s possible.”
The Republicans have not done themselves any favors by continuing to support a candidate well past her “sell by” date. Susan Collins is running on empty and anything she has to offer has been offered long ago. She is a recalcitrant, opinionated elected official who thinks the state can run on opinions and being a no vote when money is passed around.
She will tout all her “accomplishments” to people who are no longer around, did not live in the state when the “advantages” were cast upon Maine’s waters such that all who drank the political Kool Aid actually received any of its benefits.
The Left, its leaders and its followers do not see anything amiss in their opportunity to “take back” the senate. No one is going to fight Platner and his army of dedicated goons. He will continue to promote whatever it is he is promoting.
Collins will continue to be the brunt of his diatribes and she will cluck her way through in her impediment laden pronunciation of what it is she emotes.
Anyone who has seen Platner’s interpretation of a “dancing bear” should have, by definition, seen “enough.” To believe this poser has any “qualifications” to be one of 100 people to chart the course of a country requires a belief that straw turns to gold on command.
The leftists are now allowing a serial abuser to be perfectly capable just as they believed that the street gangs that attacked ICE were within their “rights” to create havoc.
Leftist politics needs chaos in order to “sell” what they propose. No one in a contemplative mind, one where all is balanced, would choose leftist politics as a first choice. Nothing of value is ever accomplished when we are in an emotional state. All live to regret their anger when a feeling of invincibility overcomes reason.
The left parades the “less than” as a badge of honor, making every loser believe that they have someone “Just like them” doing things on their behalf.
More first time voters have voted for the left, once they have listened to Al Green or Jasmine Crockett than one might realize. All are part of the leftist culture Crockett, Green and now Graham Platner. The idea that Platner is “MY kind of guy” defies rationality.
Fortunately, the Republicans get to use Platner as a poster boy for “why you need to vote Republican.” Platner will not be able to wash away his “spots.” The accusation of his serial abuse of women is not going away. At some point, the desire of the put upon to “set things straight” will overcome the desire to hide from being seen as “dumb” or “stupid” or worse, being called a whore by the political elite who only see votes.
Collins is being taught a lesson; one where things that go around come around. Her ability to believe that she had the public’s back is now seen as a myth and worse, she will have to fight her way forward.
This mousey woman with her independent streak is now dependent on the kindness of strangers, by needing the help of others.
Should the Republicans see more winners in the Senate, any thought of Collins having a coterie of other Senators or the president rushing to her side is remote at best.
The left is looking for more “Platners’” to give the party the look of “we are all storm troopers now.”
You had to see this coming once a guy like Biden actually made it to the White House.
”Joe Biden, no I don’t think I know that name.”
