The American version of politics has gone from one of “voting your conscience” to one of “violent confrontation.”
With the ability to communicate with each voter, to be able to “know” the voter at many levels, allows the inveigling of reason in the minds of the most unreasonable voters.
We now vote our emotions. The financially bereft, do not “vote their pocketbook,” but for a government of “largesse.” It is a game of numbers finessed down to the most basic level.
Those involved with “Politics” from the lowest level to the highest use the latest political AI programs to find voters who will buy into what each candidate is selling.
We are all being told that living in the United States is “unaffordable” and we are either one step away from rampant inflation or a depression.
We are being held hostage by “government” at all levels making what we do more perfunctory than one of thorough examination.
As we become distracted by the media and its desire to stir the pot of politics, we fail to understand that the dollar is being attacked by those who look to feather their financial nest or to gain political favor by funding “agencies” that delete the money needed for more worthy works.
With all things dependent on each other, those unfamiliar or uninterested past their own wants, fail to see that the chaos theory, the “butterfly effect, the Sensitive Dependence where tiny differences in the starting state of a system can snowball into massive, completely divergent outcomes over time, popularized as “the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil setting off a tornado in Texas.”
Trump is hoping that his MOU will either work as promoted, or will fail by Iran’s flagrant violation of its demands. Should Iran fail in its signed agreement gives Trump an out that cannot be denied, allowing him to be seen as promoting peace.
With Trump’s power fully dependent on his ability to get his choices elected, any failure will set off a scramble for power among those who need power to compensate for their mental abilities.
Closer to home, Florida, now fully controlled by corporate interests, is suffering from the unreliable political class. The state is taking away the “Home Rule” portion of local politics in favor of broad rules from the legislature.
While the public should be outraged, they are quiet and like all sheep sound compliant.
The locally elected politicians, some in office for 4 terms, their slow diminution of power meant nothing until their political influence is now fully dependent on the kindness of others.
This loss of power makes electing anyone to a position of power within the country more a political rubber stamping of “anyone.”
The public will not change its way as those at the state level will come forward to assure the voters that they have their back.
When elections have consequences, the serious voter comes forward but not in enough numbers to make a difference in the outcome of most races.
The “preferred,” the “incumbent,” makes an outside candidate being elected remote. No amount of insult will change the bad habits of those who see any government unable to satisfy their needs.
Without a strong primary vote number closely following the voting numbers in a presidential election, each county will be seen as “satisfied,” making any reasonable change unlikely at best.
Those holding high positions in state politics, must, by law, balance the budget. With the demands of the voters always being considered, any income shortfall could mean political death.
So it is for the politician a matter of life or death should they fail to satisfy the wants that meet the needs of the voter.
Promoting any “you need” program at this juncture is dangerous in this financial world, yet the construction industry continues to be served.
The governor continues to promote a state wide DOGE accounting in order to uncover mispent funds. This attempt, while being what is needed, is not wanted by many counties.
The chance of “finding” the recipients of mispent funds will be time consuming and be demeaned as unnecessary
The Florida primary set for August, will either be held when the temperature hovers in the 90s or will be held in torrents of rain. The recalcitrant voter will continue to find excuses, while the committed voter will do his or her duty.
I would love to think that the voter would be more careful in their choice, but bad habits die hard.
