Something very interesting and a bit unusual occurred today at the Charlotte County Board of Commissioners Meeting; an inadvertent admission of guilt took place. Somehow Chairman Tiseo walked right into the lion’s mouth.
After five residents, during the public speaking time, had criticized Chairman Joseph Tiseo for the manner in which he has given preferential treatment of his colleague Commissioner Chris Constance in regards to the highly controversial case pertaining to more than 14,000 files – images of nude and semi-nude women and their medical files – found by an IT-worker in 2025 on Constance’s government computers over a 10 year span and allegedly several government computers issued to Constance, the question was raised by one of the Charlotte County residents as to why on earth this matter has not to this date been put on the Meeting Agenda, while the Commissioner went hog wild and attacked Commissioner Stephen R. Deutsch for something a thousand times less offensive some months ago?
It’s an indisputable case of workplace discrimination, and perhaps even discrimination against an elderly employee/elected official.
Since this case blew up in the media in the beginning of April, Chairman Joe Tiseo has deliberately and willfully brushed the case of Constance under the rug stating the investigation of Commissioner Constance is “null and void”.
Brushing it under the rug is an indirect admission of guilt. There is no reason to brush it under the rug, unless the culprit is guilty.
Surely, openly admitting guilt likely will translate to political and professional suicide as a politician and physician. But it is an admission of guilt nonetheless.
When Chairman Tiseo did not like the findings DSK Law firm presented based on their independent investigation of the case, Chairman Tiseo had another one done, as he stated, by a law firm in Ft. Myers that works with Wink TV, who gave them what Tiseo and Constance wanted; nothing to see here. The question is How independent and objective was this investigation?
Also, why was DSK Law Firm’s findings when investigating Commissioner Deutsch good enough for Tiseo but not good enough when they were hired to investigate Constance?
And There Are More Questions We Must Ask…
Additionally, it raises the question of how Tiseo came to the irrational conclusion that jokingly using a derogatory slur word is far more offensive than thumbing through thousands of images of naked or semi-naked women on a government computer for a decade while Constance is supposed to be working on government affairs? It makes no logical sense for Tiseo to come to this conclusion. What would be his motivation behind this irrational decision-making?
Unless there is more to the story behind closed doors that they are seeking to cover up by calling the investigation null and void.
One of the age-old tactics to diminish the value of something is to ridicule it as if it’s nothing worth spending time on. By tactically downplaying and mocking criticism of the way Tiseo has handled this matter, and Constance’s refusal to cooperate with the investigation, and by Constance’s silence on the matter, they are seeking to make it go away.
But what might they be covering up?
Is this the usual Game of Politics being played out right before an election, after the commissioners tried unsuccessfully to destroy Commissioner Deutsch’s campaign, after he announced that he is seeking reelection?
Is this tied into the suspicious Game of Politics in which Candidate for Commissioner Kim Amontree is running in District 4 (Deutsch’s district) instead of District 2 which is Constance’s district where she rightfully should be running? Amontree really has no business running in Deutsch’s district, while she factually lives in and is elected to District 2 for a third term.
Never mind the fact that Amontree has largely dropped the ball on her job as a school board member in District 2 immediately upon reelection. She utilized her inside connections through political connections to buy a property in Riverwood, in Deutsch’s district, so she could position herself to run in that district.
Hillary Clinton calls this kind of manure The Game of Politics.
Is it part of the Game of Politics that Chairman Tiseo is trying desperately to downplay the egregious violations of local and state laws, perhaps even federal laws, that Commissioner Constance has placed himself in by half mocking the case?
Never mind that mocking the case inadvertently expresses total and utter lack of concern and respect for the victims.
Is it part of the Game of Politics to try to push out Deutsch to eliminate the one that has had the cojones to speak up about this nasty case, while Tiseo and Constance support Kim Amontree running against Deutsch?
Is it part of the Game of Politics that Tiseo and Constance have verifiably donated several thousand dollars combined already to Kim Amontree’s campaign?
Never mind the value of following the money.
For mere speculation purposes, since it seems some dots may connect on the larger scale in this case, one may ask if Tiseo, Constance and Amontree are in this Game of Politics together when it all comes down to the nuts and bolts of this dirty affair?
Never mind that the money trail may already be there.
Is Workplace Discrimination Taking Place Right Under Our Noses?
Chairman Tiseo’s face dropped when faced with the question of possible workplace discrimination, as Chairman Tiseo refused to put the case of Commissioner Constance’s workplace computer violations on the Agenda, while he had no issues putting Deutsch’s joking remark on the Agenda.
Chairman Tiseo mockingly criticized the five speakers saying that the community can keep speaking about this for months during public speaking at the commissioners meetings, an attempt to ridicule the matter as if it’s a moot point to even bring it up. One can only imagine how much Tiseo and Constance may want this ugly duckling to disappear into oblivion. Perhaps the same can be said for their spouses and families who are secondary victims of this case. Surely they want this smelly case to go away.
Imagine being the spouse of someone who has been found to have thumbed through thousands of images – not just on his plastic surgeon practice computer for medical purposes only but on his government computer. It’s kind of sick, wouldn’t you say? Sick and disgusting, and maybe even disgustingly sick.
But it is most assuredly not a ridiculous matter to bring up and not one to downplay nor one that will go away in a flash.
Oh, but wait… there is a solution:
If Chairman Tiseo wants the community to stop talking about this matter, if Tiseo and Constance do not want this matter to go down in the Charlotte County history books, then they can make it go away in a flash by doing the one and only right thing to do, and that is RESIGN immediately.
Take responsibility and accountability for the fact that they screwed up tremendously. Be real men and own up to their mistakes.
Given that ethics complaints have already been filed with the Florida Ethics Commission – and rightfully so – this will not disappear like the morning dew the sun burns off… Unless they resign.
Why? Because the case stinks to high heaven.
Give this some thought. Would it not be interesting to see if at some point the many victims in this case will collectively file a complaint against Chris Constance with the Surgeon General for violating their HIPAA rights? Lord knows they have all the reasons in the world to do so. It is their images and medical files that this man without conscience and common sense has now made public records. One resident called this man a chauvinistic pig.

I find it utterly disgusting and appalling that these individuals still haven’t resigned when they have done something by the act or by covering up the act that shouldn’t be allowed in Florida politics. Let’s take a stand now and force the resignation of these two commissioners that are not serving Floridians or Charlotte County the way they’re supposed to.
