When Everything Becomes Political
I am afraid that everything in life has become political. The comforts of modern life should not have to deal with the delivery of water and electricity at a political level. I have been called out for being “too political,” and while I admit to my tendency, I too am subject to the same costs as everyone else.
A Community Forum for Different Views
This site allows for a community to speak to one another at all levels. It will not satisfy everyone, but it does allow all to either accept what is offered or reject it.
The Importance of Midterm Elections
We will soon have to deal with the midterm elections and the county’s ongoing tendency to ignore them as inconsequential. As we all know, little things turn into big things, and low voter turnout has given us bad results on many occasions.
The Cost of Decisions
Everything has a cost, whether something is done or not. I tend to frame good and bad in terms of what it costs me in spending versus what that money might have earned had it been invested.
Changes to Voter Information
Like all voters, I carry my voter registration card as a matter of course. Now I and others are supposed to be notified of changes to a system that seemed to have worked fine. The changes to the card—something I was told would arrive in the mail on a new card—have not come, nor has anyone been notified.
Missing Guides and Voter Resources
Along with that, the “Voters Guide” and the “Citizens Guide” are missing as part of the information that should be available to voters.
A Call to Participate
That said, I ask everyone to please vote. We need to make our voices heard and express the needs of our community.
